  • 3 months in Amsterdam : R20 000 plus airticket x 2 (sponsored by NycomedMadaus)
  • 3 months in Oxford : R50 000 (sponsored by Schering Plough)
  • 3 months at the Mayo : travel and living allowance (sponsored by the Gastro Foundation)
  • Junior investigator awards to SAGES (sponsored by Discovery) (subject to an abstract being presented)

  • Thursday 6 August 2009 – an interactive evening with Patrick Kamath of the Mayo, including one night’s accommodation, for gastro trainees
    Limited numbers : Preference will be given to those presenting abstracts at SAGES

  •  Friday 7th August 2009 – research session at SAGES
    Theme: How to write an article and get it published
